    i was driving a van for a company when i had a bump ( my fault ) do i have to inform my car insurance company

      Not unless your work company needs you to. They would only turn to your insurance company if the damages done exceeded their policy limit. Then your insurance would cover the extra. Say nothing unless you have to.
