If you want an "ocean" beach...head towards the Atlantic (east of you) If you want a nice beach in your area go to the Indiana Dunes (google same) I believe it is still there....haven't been in years but it was very nice....check into it...else you will be driving and driving and driving to get to an ocean beach!....(:
