In order to create a desk top short cut you may do as follows:
minimize all the open windows so that you see your computer desk top, and right-click on it. On the menu that appears choose 'New', and then 'Short cut'. On the text box that's in the dialog box that opens, type the address you wish to create a short cut for, click the 'Next' button, then type the name you wish to give the short cut, and click the 'Finish' button.
