    Why is it coffee, tea , sugar containers and biscuit barrels have seals fitted to them to stop the contents spoiling and bread bins don't have a seal fitted

    Bread needs air because it's relatively humid. If you seal it, it's taste would be bad and weird and it may get moldy very fast. Bread supposed to be eaten several days max after it is baked because even without being sealed, it will get moldy after a week (more or less).
