The rich are meant to pay higher taxes based on their yearly income, but often the rich are smart enough and have the money to dodge and claim alot more back. It is the working class Blue colar workers that work longer hours and tend to pay higher taxes..

Rich people pay much less tax than poor people, and some pay no tax at all. The rich can pay for smart accountants to lessen their tax but the poor cannot. This is seen in Greece at the moment when people on modest salaries are taxed heavily but the rich like the shipowners pay nothing. This is called Capitalism.
