    What is the best way to banish mice from the house without using poison?

    We live in the country and field mice come in from the cold and never seem to leave. We have pets, so poison is out of the question

        get a good mouser......a cat that is indoors and outdoors. when mice see them, they go the other way. that's what a friend tells me. his ranch has none in or near the house.
