Now there's a question. Are the so called countries civilised if they are and there is a God, he must be very tired and busy. So very much Greed. Such a mesmerising mess.
Civilisation to me is a house be it anywhere, with friends, family animals vegetables and happiness - just a simple life.To be at one with nature.
It is so annoying when people refer to poorer countries as not being civilized. Who needs all the aggravation put upon us or created by us nowadays.
Of course there are much bigger answers and issues to this throughout the course of history.
