how can i get my budgie to go back into his cage after exercise? he constantly avoids me.then
becomes scared for a while. i have tried everything that i can think of.. i also have a dog, and she gets so upset ,and she has to be locked in another room for ages

If your bird is not going to go back in his cage on his own accord, you will have to put him back for his own safety.When you let him out keep him refind to one room only(saves the dog having to be locked away).And use a net to capture him.Try and keep it drama free as possible.
