Divide the number for the first item by the total. For example, if Jane received 23 of 240 total votes, you would divide 23 by 240 which is .096.

Multiply the answer from Step 2 by 100 to find the percentage. Thus, .096 x 100 = 9.6, so Jane got 9.6% of the votes.

Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for each item on your pie chart to find the percentages for each of them.
