First, get an education with an emphasis on the care and keeping of children, home economics, skill development and health care. A course in developmental psychology will help and experience in baby sitting and child care. Art and music skills will be desirable as well as maintaining relationships with a broad based support group with similar goals in family and friends. A study of  obstetrics and gynaecology will help to remove doubt and fear about raising healthy social children.  The right to bare children may some day have a licensing process that will likely require such backgrounds to qualify. We are all living longer and birth control will some day, perhaps in our life time, become federally regulated.

Agree totally. Child rearing is a skill in which many parents fail. Potential parents should have DNA scans to avoid transmission of defective genes, lessons in correct nutrition, training in bringing up children who will contribute to society and not be a burden.

nomdeplume…the”Gattica” movie scenario may be inevitable. But having just discovered the alphabet soup of genetic codes there are some inevitable events to follow that appear similar to other historic events. If we are to do anything about this we should apply what we have learned and move forward with reasonable caution to benefit broadly.

Become a Muslim, they are breeding fast.

In order to make actual babies, you need to participate in a sexual intercourse with the opposite sex, including ejaculation.
