My watch of link choice for link "Sunday Best" club rides is my 1972 Rolex Oyster Perpetual, which was marketed as a "sport watch" by Rolex back in the '70s. It's surprisingly link light, with a sleek low-profile dial, a hand-wound mechanism, and an elegant bracelet. It has no fancy bells and whistles, which suits my style of riding. For me, it's more about smiles than miles.

The cars were clearly the star of the festival but theres a quiet sideshow going on among those with a burning fascination with all things mechanical. It doesnt take link place on the course but rather on the wrist. Beyond the cars link the festival serves as an excuse link for enthusiasts to strap on their favorite timepiece reveling in the notion that theres a tiny mechanical machine beating away on their person while observing the larger machines running at full tilt on the course.
