    Things You'll Need
    CD or DVD recorder
    Blank CD-R or CD-RW

    Instructions
    Microsoft's Wizard

    1

Open your CD or DVD recording drive. This can be accomplished by pressing the eject button near the loading tray.

    2
Insert a blank disc into the tray and close it.

    3
Wait for the Windows Explorer dialog to pop up asking how you would like to proceed. Choose "Open writable CD using Windows Explorer" and click OK.

    4
Drag the files and folders you would like to burn from your hard drive and into the disc recording folder that just opened. Windows will alert you on available space and notify you if you try to add more than the disc can support.

    5
Click on "Write these files to CD" on the left panel of the window. When asked for a label, enter a name you would like to use to refer to the compact disc.

    6
Click the next button. A wizard will open and show the progress of your disc burning.
