Might be more trouble than its worth,are you prepared to support this person,having to pick up the pieces if there is a relapse,if and when they take a drink and your in their company you are going to feel upset that they let themselves down,have you been in this persons company whilst he/she is intoxicated they might turn into someone you really don't want to know.By all means be a friend but i wouldn't get to involved,sometimes you can become their victim.Hope this person can remain sober for his/her sake,alcohol is very hard to give up.
