I've picked up a few new books focused on vintage watches over the past few months that I wanted to feature, and perhaps even add to link your own reading list. A couple link of these are must-haves, joining the ranks of books like Moonwatch Only, Patek Philippe Steel link Watches, or my favorite auction catalogs (1989's The Art of Patek Philippe and 1996's The Magical Art of Cartier).

Most of the link time what I use is brass. It's what they call white brass link which basically means that there's a lot of zinc in it. It comes off as a much whiter metal. I could use silver but silver tends to be on the white side whereas this white brass has a tendency to be a bit darker so it kind of matches stainless steel link a little bit better. If it's a gold watch then I often use brass.
