Insert the blank CD into your computer's recordable disc drive. A small window will open that lists several tasks that you can do.

Choose the Burn Files to Disc task. The "Burn a Disc" dialog box will open.

Click the button labeled "Next."

Stand by while Windows formats the disc. Upon completion a new window will open, showing you an empty file.

Go to the Start menu and find the location of the files that you want to burn onto the CD.

Open the file and drag the files you want to burn onto the CD into the empty file.

Click the eject button on your disc drive when you have finished dragging and dropping your files. Windows will then burn the files onto the disc, which may take a few minutes. Your disc will eject upon completion.
