Olive oil comes from olive, peanut oil from peanut, vegetable oil from vegetable and sunflower oil from sunflower seed. Where does canola oil come from? Recently I received an email from my friend which said that canola stands for Canada oil low acid. The oil is made from rapeseed plant and it is harmful to the human health. I immediately discarded two bottles of unsed canola oil. I am now using corn oil instead.
