    We know if you slice a bar magnet into say 4 slices, each slice would its own horth and south pole.
    Can you restack these slices to form what would look like the original, with one horth pole and one south pole?.

      Hard to say, the reason it is a magnet is that all the molecules are aligned in a straight line.
      If you put too much force ie: hit with a hammer in some,not all, cases the molecules would become dislodged from their north south alignment and become random ie: facing every which way and it would no longer be a magnet.

        yes...but that is not slicing it and then restacking the slices
