        In ancient times and some cultures still, the right side is always male and the left side is always female. So appartently Jesus, being a male, sits at the right hand of God.

            gods right hand also refers to the messiah the LORD god jesus christ and his equal power of pisition, honor and power with god(john 1:1-5)the fact that christ sits at his right hand represents his work of redemption is done
