Man made God in his (man's) image so something or someone could be blamed for life's misfortunes.

Now most things like death, illness, accidents, earthquakes, volcanos, etc have a rational scientific explanation, so the concept of an all knowing all seeing God is redundant.

. . . and yet again, God is not made in the image of man, man is made in the image of God only when he reflects the Good.  For the true image of God is that which is the GOOD and all that which is spiritually implyed.  

When we as men are good, we are in Gods image. For His Image, if we must have an image, is the Good not as men say good but spirit. Thus in the world of men He has many glorious images; a tree an animal, a planet, a solar system, the Universe, all that is. For all His works are Good. Though ignorant men have yet to see it plainly demonstrated before their eyes. Most like to think He only has two arms, two, legs, and a head, how limited he would be if that were the case. He is beyond the pyshics of man, for He is beyond measure. His voice is intuitive, a subtle whisper in the silence. The Silence is His presence and His Light is Love.
