I made a tool for crab grass. A sheet of black plastic with clear bubble pack on top … secured in place. Water the crab grass lightly and lay the plastic on top bubble pack side up. secure the edges of the plastic so no air circulates . In full sun on a hot day the temperature under the plastic should reach 160F. also scalding hot water kills weeds. My grandmother used hot water for weed control before there were herbicides.
