Weight?

Gravity is a glaring omission from the Standard Model. According to Einstein's view of gravity it is because space-time is an active and malleable fabric. Massive bodies like the sun bend space-time. Some think gravity is mediated by a force-carrying particle called the graviton.

Einstein's theory has been just called into question by suggestions that the speed of light is not fundamental.

In Scientific and Engineering context, Weight is the FORCE on an object due to gravity, in everyday and legal Contexts it is often used to mean MASS.

By formula,

Weight = fore on the body = mass × acceleration due to gravity  =  mg

where, g = 9.8 m/s2 or 10 m/s2
