Could be a few things. The electronics of the fan system, a broken, or loose fan belt, a leak in the cooling system, a clogged radiator, or a combination of these. First, easiest, check level of fluid, with engine cool, remove the cap, slowly. Add as necessary. Watch for the level to remain, and maybe even put cardboard down where you park it, looking for leaks.
