      Yes, Paul was one of the apostles. Before he became an apostle he was known as Saul of Tarsus.

          No. Paul was an apostle but not one of the "12 apostles of the Lamb".(Matt.10:2, Luke 6:13)


          Matthias was later chosen to take the place of Judas Acts 1:15 thru 26. To quailify as a replacement Paul would have had to meet the requirements found in verses 22 and 23 of Acts 1.
