Male cats come sexualty active around 6months and females cats come into heat  early 4months in some breeds but normaly its 6 months on wards and if you have a female you can get them done within 5 months old and even if they are in season though some vets dont like doing this until they are out of season but male cats you can them done at 6months old

i think it might be a year. i know my female cat went into heat around a year old
