You can get a "sewing basket" at the hobby or crafts store, KMart, WalMart (please not there). I have a "thread and bobbin" box that is about 9 x 12 and maybe 2" high. It has pegs on which to store the spools and a small section for the bobbins to rest. You can also just purchase or use a plastic container (i.e. tupperware). The main thing is to find something that will hold your stuff and be easily accessible. I like my sewing basket, but it's more "cute" than practical. The spool holder isn't pretty at all, but very practical. Oh...those baskets can make it realy organized. but $$$$$$$$$.
