      It's a scam.  If they call, don't open the door, take the number of their car and tell the police.

            they wont risk getting caught by coming to your house. They will call back. Tell them the people just came by and you received the check and that the police have it now. If you have caller id post it here. I would like to know number. This is a scam. Call the police if you want. Doubt they do anything. Set them up by meeting them in a public place with police waiting. There is a different kind of justice i would do to them here in Texas.
