      Go to your start button, click "control panel", click "Appearance and Personalization", see "Display", under that click "Make text and other items larger or smaller", choose your new size text and click "save".

        go to control panel and click on appearance and settings as pythonlover says or if using Microsoft word, click on the letter A on the home row of functions and choose your preferred font size.
