Anything it can fit into it's mouth that moves, as well as a lot of things that don't move. Like most baby turtles, a baby snapper prefers live food. Small earthworms also. As they get older they'll scavenge just about anything, but they love worms, tadpoles, frogs, small fish, and about any insect they find in front of them.
