    Denial of a Mental Illness

    Is is possible to help someone with a mental illness, such as paraniod schizophrenia, who is total and complete denial, but aware?

    Not unless you can become POA over them and have them committed.
    No you can't,i tried this with a neighbour who was clearly suffering a mental illness,i alerted the mental health crisis team and they told me that the person in question has to seek treatment themselves and they would only come to the home if the person was threatening self harm, or to ring the police if they became violent.She was driving us all crazy and there was nothing we could do about it.
