    next door as bought a wood burning fire to burn wood... but it is smokey and smells and this gets into our house is this ok for him to do this

      Most cities have codes.I lived next to a bar.They had a cookout in their parking lot behind the bar.The smoke got so bad it set off my smoke alarms.I called the code office and it got taken care of.
