When a batter gets a credit of sacrifice fly (and RBI as a result of that), it will not be included in the on base percentage calculation (his on base percentage will not go down though he did not get on base). It is same as batting average calculation. When a batter hits a sacrifice fly, sacrifice bunts or gets a walk, those will not be included in the batting average calculation. It means his batting average does not go down though he did not get a safe hit because he intentionally hit sacrifice (either fly or bunt) to advance runner(s) http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110405221006AAvE9Pg
