    How does a person know if he or she needs a new financial advisor during these tough times?

    I gave my financial advisor 112000 dollars in July of 2000, and have 160000 now. During the last two recessions (911 and 2007 ) he said that I lost less than some. He says he doesn't have a crystal ball and is not a day trader, but I need to start making money again.

      Don't we all need to make money. These days if you manage to break even or if you get a slight increase you can consider yourself lucky. Don't gamble and try and stick with Blue chip companies for now.


      If you feel uncomfortable with him find another adviser.
