i have a 89' Ford Bronco 4x4 Full Size, i Live in Michigan ...
i have taken Very good care of with 90,000, mile on it,
i noticed a small amount of oil that was leaking, this truck has "Never leaked" Oil.
i Found out that my Oil Pan had Rusted that was causing it to leak,
i have Been working on my own Cars / Trucks for Well over 30 years i Have Never
Heard of an Oil Pan Rusting.
i have my truck in the air so i Will have enough room to do this job i have a Manual for the job
it says to lift the engine at least 4'' So the Pan Can Clear the Support Bracket,
The Only Problem i been having is Removing the intake manifold / Plentum,
This 302 is the Manifold for the Multi Port injection,
it's Large & Silver with 5.0 on it.
i have taken everything off the Manifold all Brackets Vacuum lines EVERYTHING and it just
won't Lift off it is VERY loose it will lift up and side to side about a half inch,
i followed The Book to the letter,
The Book says after everything is Removed Gently Lift off, the Book is a Hayyes i also looked
in a Chiltons,
it says to disconnect all Vacuum lines throttle cables & Support Bracket & The 5 or 6 Bolts that Hold the Manifold down,
Everything is Disconnected and Something is Holding it down that is NOT in the Book &
is Not Visible,
What am i Missing ???
i have been at this point of the removel of Just the Manifold for almost a Week & it Just won' t Come OFF,
i have Other Vehicle and i was going to take my time doing my Truck,
One Reason i was going to take my time is Because i Had Neck Surgery Not to Long ago
and i have another ride,
i tried everything Moving the manifold to the left & to the Right and lifting,
again it is Very Loose & it will lift only a little better than a Half inch up & side to side.....
