hey auto..cars have 2 types of timing mechanism,,one is by a timing belt and you get no warning ..it just goes when it goes,best option with belts ,is to change them when you are supposed to,,,the other is a timing chain,,they cost more but last longer,and you get a warning when they are getting old,,they start to rattle,,,a belt will generally last 80 to 90 thousand klms... a chain around180000 klms...catch ya later mate,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
