    How does the body detect diseases and how does it deal with them

    When the body feels an invasion from an unknown source, it sends out phagocytes to attack the disease.  Phagocytes are while blood cells that feed on the infection when you have a cut, etc.  They know it's not a part of the body's DNA.

    but how do the white blood cell know when they need to attack a disease

    That's the beauty of your body, the white blood cells know when there has been an invasion because they are everywhere.
