I think the next step is bio-feedback networking. You could harmonize the heartbeats and brainwaves of millions of people based on public published opinion of the same. Words could be replaced a great deal on the internet, when quickening heartbeats and angry thought patterns are socially networked. Also, we might have electronically induced hallucinations to replace monitors, keyboards, and mice.
