Forward and perhaps upward. My expectation is at death, an encounter with the God of Abraham and His heavenly kingdom where He has prepared unheard of beauty for those who love Him.
Moreover, one should anticipate the opportunity of visiting galaxies within His incredible creation. Time will not exist in the next dimension. Heaven and hell involve eternity, not years as we know it.
