I believe in God the father of Abraham, Adam and Eve. I believe in the Old Testament.

I was raised Christian, I have a minor degree in the Holy Bible. I have read the New Testament many times.

What I read bother me for years. I researched it, others feel the same as me.

I think Jesus was a great teacher. Until I have proof, I can't believe. I can prove he lived, and taught, but nothing more. I don't want to follow blindly. I am science minded, I have to have proof. I did not come by this lightly. It was very difficult for me. I had to go against everything I was taught, face criticize from my family and friends. It hurt, actually it wrecked me. I can't help how I feel. I'm not going to believe because someone says I should. That's not enough. God knows I am struggling, he knows my heart and that I am seeking truth. I trust him to lead me.

If you believe in Something because you were reared to believe as a small child. You made no choice, it was make for you. You either accepted it or you didn't.

If you believe in the Old Testament but not the teachings of the New Testament, why do you claim not to be Jewish? I realize some of their customs and/or beliefs may be different from what you have been exposed to, but I believe customs are a personal choice. BTW, I too have a few problems with the WHOLE Bible.

Hi Flip, I researched how to be a Jew. It's very complicated. It takes a long time, sometimes years of study, you have to have a certain life style, past test, belong to a synagogue.(the nearest one is maybe 100 miles) its a long process, and not all Jews will accept you. They start school at 3-7 years of age, teaching the Torah. They are involved, and active. It's not like Christians.I believe as the Jewish people do. I can't call myself a Jew, not without due process. I would love to be a Jew. That doesn't make me one. Maybe one day.

    You sound half circumcized.

    a Unitarian?

    smart answer.

I too am a believer of GOD. I have always considered myself to be a follower of GOD and refer to myself as a believer of HIS teachings.
