    Laicized from laic.


    I can´t find this world in my  english dictionary, but I think laicized, for example a lay ( a layed) person.


    Another tought: germanien the laic is Laie, laizisticen.


    If this answer wrong, sorry.


     

    Probably derived from the French word 'laique' meaning secular or non-religious. So laicized would mean made non-religious .

    Other possible interpretations: uncoprehending, inexperienced, untrained.
