I will give you my opinion why. First they are a free democratic country that have the same values and ways of life as us. Second, they deflect a lot of radical Islam off us and focused on them. This helps us gain valuable Intel and keeps us out of some battles b/c Isreal must take care of them due to their geographical location. Third is because of the large numbers of orthodoxical Christians here in the US who believe that the coming of Jesus Christ will start there, Jerusalem, and 1/3 of the Jewish people will repent and turn to Christianity and be saved in the final battle of "Good Vs. Evil".
Last, there are millions of US Jews here in the US with money who lobby our government and sometimes hold offices in it, who push for pro=Isreal international policies from us.

I donot think the surving crewmen of the US Navy ship that was attacked by Israel think as you do.
I did and that was a setup by LYNDON JOHNSON AND Isreal to start a war with Egypt.That was a long time ago.And they still do the same crap today.

We have military bases all over the world, and it would be great to have some place to send our troops if war would ever break out. We can not afford to keep sending out troops to bases "close to", and "not at".

They have only cut a small agreement. To give up some settlements, is a small movement. But, a much larger one, is likely coming. It would have to.
According to bible prophecy, the agreement leads to this character having a seat on the west wing in the temple mount. When this happens, just know it's on!
Birth rite of this temple mount belongs to Israel. However, the Palestines (Palestinians) want to have it as their own. This is a feud that has continued since the Old Testament.

- According to the 1980's book "The Sampson Option," if Israel is attacked and it appears the country will fall, they will send nuclear weapons to destroy as much of Russia as they can because Russia would then shoot off their nukes at either the USA or China or both which then would start and end WWIII. If the authors of the book are correct, then the USA should support Israel or risk WWIII and our own destruction.
- Israel is the home of some of the most import religious artifacts, which need to be preserved and available for all time. That in itself gives good reason to support Israel.
- Israel has been willing to go where no one in the USA can. For example, The first Israeli in space, who died with our astronauts, was a hero before he became an astronaut. He led a strike force in the 1980s to take out the nuclear plant in Iraq which would have been used for the production of nuclear weapons. The Israeli's also took out the terrorists who killed the Olympic Village athletes. The Israeli's are willing to sanction and kill their, and our, enemies.

Yes I am basing the first part on an assumption. In fact, I even said where it came from. And yes the Israeli's are for Israel, which is what the first question states. But even so, if it is true, then the point is valid. If not, then points two and three are still valid. As far as a US Navy ship being attacked by Israel, I'd love more information on that. What ship, when and where did it happen? Specifics would be wonderful.
Sorry but are you basing these assumptions on a book with a hypothetical scenerio. ? Maybe if you had been acrewman on the US NAvy ship attacked by Irsael forces your notions about Israel may be different. Israel is for Israel
