      The 2003 invasion of Iraq resulted in a small number of American and Coalition POWs. The most famous of which was, Jessica Lynch because of the media coverage due to her being taken to an Iraq hospital because of serious injuries sustained during her capture. As of today, there are no American POWs in Iraq.
