The military and government has too many secrets. They have secrets because they are fearful. They are fearful because what they do is not knowable. We really don’t need to be afraid of what they keep secrets about because their secrets are not very important to anyone but the government and they don't want us….outsiders knowing about their secrets because then we wouldn’t need them or their secrets and we would all be free to choose for ourselves what is or is not important. Secrets are the only way they can keep their jobs. For whatever it is worth, secrecy is a government inside job. “I can’t talk about that….” means “ I do nothing important for you to know about.” My job is too dull to talk about. and if I talk about the nothing I really do, I would be sent to a remote, isolated air strip in Alaska to do nothing there…where I can’t talk about it to anyone.
