Withdraw the funds and spend them ASAP. If and when the bank figures it out, they can make some sort of arrangement for you to repay them (interest free). Happened to me. Went on the road and paid all my bills for about two months. When I got home my mailbox was full of bounced check notifications. Not possible, I had direct deposit. Investigation revealed they had transposed numbers and credited some other lucky souls account. He/she withdrew and spent the money and the bank had to make mine good and chase him/her.
Bottom line, one should never pass up the opportunity to do it to the banks. They, along with their Wall Street cohorts have bankrupted the country. Socking it to them is miniscule, but should make you feel better.

Not even a good answer. It's theft no matter how you want to white wash it. If the bank erred in their favor you would be right there demanding your money. You say, "they do it to us" yet they made good on their error.
