A "benign" yet very irretating and painfull inflamation of the chest wall. This happens, because your rib's is affixed to your sternum (the center of your chest) with connective tissue (meaning legiments and tendons) and because this connective tissue is too weak, the ribs move around a lot, rubbing against their attachment point on the sternum and against your chest wall/lining. This frequently results in inflammation.
