    There were many women who exhibited leadership in both the Old and New Testaments.

    Romans 16:7 speaks of two notable apostles, Andronicus and Junia.  Authorities agree that Junia is a woman's name.

    of the original 12 no all were men

    Some believe that Mary Magdalene was an apostle and possibly Jesus' wife. The Vatican has many documents that it keeps hidden which might confirm this.
