Gummy bears, or the like kills gophers because they cannot digest animal bi-products. Also, gopher weed and like Randy said, "Moth balls". Moth balls are repellant to ants, silver fish, mice and deer around roses.

Fly bait in either a pan of coco cola or put it in marshmallows then throw them in the hole
