Accurate time standards by which to set one's link watch continued to become more and more ubiquitous. My earliest memory of such a standard, designed to enable anyone to accurately set their watch or clock, was simply calling a link time service. In 2016, The link Atlantic's Adrienne LaFrance wrote a wonderful reminiscence about using a telephone to call for the time; she writes, in part:
