    How can I be sure my carry on baggage will be OK

    Empty, my baggage measures just fine but when filled it may not, even with outside pockets empty The overall linear dimension is 43 " Handles make a difference

      The carry-on I use is rigid, so it stays the same size no matter how much is or isn't in it.  You may want to consider investing in something like that if you travel by air alot.  Also, when you purchase luggage, make sure the piece is "FFA approved" for carry-on status.

        yea u have to have the right measure or it will not fit in the overhead locker, Take some items out and put them in another smaller handbag u are allowed this too but just hand bag size
