Post second world war only knowing what I know now.....

It would have been interesting to live post Civil War through the Roaring 20's...would not like to have suffered through the Great Depression.  (I'm living in USA on this answer).

If I were to live any place other than the USA, I think I would like to have lived during the Renaissance, in Europe (traveling around!)

    They were cute ?

i am with MCM,,the 1950 is when men were men,,and the lifestyle had meaning...................

I'd like to go back to the 50s where people dressed decent, and you didn't have to be afraid to walk down the streets. The movies and TV shows were decent.A man  could earn a living wage at just about any job, affording his wife to stay home and raise the children. And they could afford one car and to buy a house........all on the man's wage. My parents did it.

And the Korean War,if you were unlucky enough to be involed in it,??

Hector, I was a babe in arms during the Korean war. But, my peers did go to the Vietnam war; and some didn't come back, except in a pine box.

you do not have to have a pine box,to have been involed in a war,

Back to the time of my ancestor Thomas Wilson Dorr, who began the Dorr War of RI.  I would support him in overthrowing the then Gov. King, as many of his forces fled, during the battle.  He did proclaim himself Governor (if only for a day) and fought for passage of voting rights.

NOW.  Plus the life expectancy keeps going up.  For a while it was 21, then it went up to 47 about a hundred or so years ago.  Now its 80 for women and 78 for men.  Scientist expect it to double again to 140. I love how people think now, how people dress, and that we are letting people be who they truly are inside now.  i love it.  But we needed the past to get to what we have now.

    How true,
