    house deed

My parents built their house on their own land. They have a land deed but not a house deed. Should they have a house deed too? If they have misplaced it where would they find it?

Possibly with their lender or solicitor

You have to register the deeds with the land registry. You can't just build a house on land you own you have to get planning permission. The Solicitot who deal with it etc will know all the stuff you need
